Follow New Signs to Find Our Trail Chairs
We are currently installing new signage on the five trails featuring pairs of colourful adirondack chairs: VV&E West, Upper Dam Site Viewpoint, Trans Canada Trail (North Fork section and the Kettle River Heritage Trail), and along the Goat Mountain Trail (left). The signs were made by Camilla Dupuis, with funding from the Phoenix Foundation's Neighbourhood Small Grants program. Our thanks to them, and the volunteers who installed the signs.

Two New Gazebos on the
Trans Canada Trail
Thanks to funding from RDKB Area D Director Linda Kay Wiese, Trans Canada Trail, and an estate donation from Don Reid, two pretty gazebos now welcome hikers and bikers on the Trans Canada Trail! One is just past the 7 km marker west of Grand Forks, on the North Fork section, and the other is at the 9 km marker on the Kettle River Heritage section east of Grand Forks.
Our thanks to the summer staff and volunteers who brought this project to fruition!

Enjoy Our Trails Safely
Our trails are open and you are welcome to enjoy them, whether you are on foot, skateboard, wheelchair, bicycle, skis or snowshoes! Please STAY OFF muddy trails and allow them to dry out. Please observe safe distance between you and other trail users outside your household. Enjoy our trails. |
Scenic Sunday Hikes for Members
Our weekly hikes are back on! Every week we feature a local hiking destination of easy to moderate difficulty, lasting about two hours return. Membership is required. In addition to exploring our gorgeous geography, we do light trail maintenance (weeding, picking up trash, etc). Seasonal destinations posted weekly on Facebook (you don't need a facebook account to view) |
