Saturday, June 4, is Trails Day in British Columbia, and the Grand
Forks Community Trails Society is hosting a family-friendly event at
Goat Mountain, starting at 10:30 a.m.
Join one of two guided hikes (moderate to the meadow - about 1 hr 30 mins) or difficult to the peak of Goat (about 3 hours). Both options offer a chance to explore trails, discover wildlife and enjoy views.
Wear sturdy walking shoes or boots as well as a hat, and bring bug spray, water bottles, a snack, and sunscreen.
Park in the small lot where Goat Mountain FSR meets North Fork Road, just past the 5 km marker on North Fork Road. Carpool if you can. Note - there are no washrooms at this site.
